Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, we are classified with the IRS as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible. All individual tax situations are different, so please check with your tax professional to determine how you may benefit.

You will be given a receipt and a formal letter of thanks with our 501(c) 3 Federal tax ID number certifying that you have made the donation. This letter shows the IRS that you are authorized for a charitable tax deduction.

We accept gently used quality clothing that will have a great re-sale value. Vintage clothing appears to our biggest sales. Please send us an e-mail or call us at 1-202-547-5902.

These items have been worn once or twice. Can I still donate it?

Absolutely! Gently used clothing is even a better deal for our clients. The only way to know for sure if we can accept your used clothing is to have you call us at 1-202-547-5902

Can you pick up clothes in all 50 states?

Yes and No. We can only make pick-ups in the Washington D.C. Metro area. Other than that, the postal service will have to be used. All costs to ship to us are fully tax deductible.

How is the value of your clothes determined?

In short, the IRS allows you, the donor, to assess the fair market value of your clothing.

We can refer you to an IRS Publication which explains how the IRS requires you to determine the value of your donated clothing; you may review this publication on the IRS web site ( -- link URL here -- ).

How will my clothing be picked up?

We will arrange to have your clothes picked up at your convenience. At that time you will be given a receipt on the spot.

How long will it take to pick up my clothes?

We normally contact you within a few days. If you need your clothes picked up sooner, please let us know as we may be able to make those arrangements as well.
